The CF3 concept introduced by Sierra Wireless, and its companion product the snap-in socket, are a significant step forward in enabling the user to test multiple types of units on a single board. In embedded designs CMUX is a popular mechanism to use where an external PPP dial-up connection is used rather than the onboard IP stack. When using the HL78 module, for network or application problems it may be necessary to be view the internal operation of the unit. To do this logging from its debug port is required. This video shows how to carry out this logging, resulting in a file that can be sent back to Sierra Wireless for analysis.
