This document aims to provide guidance with migrating applications from using the AirPrime MC879x mini card to using the AirPrime MC8090/MC8092 mini card. It sums up the differences between the AirPrime MC879x and the AirPrime MC8090/MC8092 mini cards; and provides recommendations to maximize the compatibility between the 2 mini card families when used for the same application.

This guide addresses issues that affect the integration of AirPrime MC Series (PCI Express MiniCard) embedded modules into host products, and includes design recommendations for the host products.
