Feature

Description

[eUICC] Local ERA-GLONASS subscription switching mechanism.

For ERA-GLONASS project, multiple subscriptions can be provisioned in the embedded UICC. One of them is dedicated to ERA-GLONASS emergency call.

The purpose of this new feature is to provide an interface triggering the swap to this ERA-GLONASS subscription for eUICC cards from following manufacturers: G&D, Gemalto, Morpho and Oberthur.

[eUICC] Remote SIM provisioning

Support of remote SIM provisioning as defined by the GSMA standard

[eUICC] Remote SIM subscription swap.

Support of SIM refresh procedure used by the network server for swapping the SIM subscription.

Bearer Independent Protocol (BIP) support

The Bearer Independent Protocol, as defined in 3GPP specifications, provides to the UICC a standardized way to use AirPrime Packet Data bearer to communicate with remote entities.

SIM245 support

Mandatory device requirements support as defined in DENATRAN SIM-245 specification.

OFF Mode management

Support of OFF Mode procedure from legacy Open-AT products in addition to the current AirPrime SL808xT OFF mode procedure.

+WHCNF AT command allows selection of the method.

+CPOF triggers the OFF mode.

Disable Automatic Power transition

The Automatic Power transition protects the AirPrime module against destructive temperature by setting it in low power mode when temperature exceeds a threshold. In some critical situations, like Emergency Call, this feature may be disabling.

This feature provides then an interface for disabling the Automatic Power transition.

USB CDC-EEM class support

Standard CDC-EEM interface support.

USB enumeration customization

Change the default AirPrime SL808xT USB composite enumeration by a single CDC-EEM interface enumeration.

USB configuration with event management

Open-AT application can be notified when USB connection or disconnection event occurs.

8-wire UART support

Support of a full 8-wire UART interface in addition to existing 4-wire UART interface. UART configuration may be changed dynamically through AT command.

WAKE_N signal support in addition to 4-wire UART.

When 4-wire UART interface is used, WAKE_N signal can be enable to wake-up an host microcontroller when selected events occurs (set using AT+WRIM command).

ADC interface

Analog to Digital Conversion interface support through AT command.

I2C interface

I2C interface support from Open AT Bus Service.

Audio configuration enhancement

Audio Settings have been fine tuned to comply with VDA

Audio Echo cancelation and Noise Suppression algorithms enhancement.

+ECHO command have been enhanced to allow more customization parameters for: Echo cancellation and Noise suppression.

Audio equalizer support

The equalization controls the sound quality

Improved Audio PCM Interfaces

The ADL Audio Service allows handling audio resources, and play or listen supported audio formats on these resources (single/dual tones, DTMF tones, melodies, PCM audio streams, decoded DTMF streams).

Automatic Volume Control

The Automatic Volume Control (AVC) algorithm will react to background noise fluctuations

Automatic Gain Control

The RX Automatic Gain Control (AGC) compensates the variations in audio gains from the landline side.

The TX Automatic Gain Control (AGC) compensates the variations in audio gains from the mobile side to allow a constant audio level in the TX direction.

CPU Load indication

Ability to monitor the CPU load.

ADL TCU Accurate Timer

Hardware Timer support

Local Trace Session

Ability to manage trace collection and record them in the file system.

WPOW enhancement

+WPOW command available for W-CDMA frequency bands.

File System provisioning

Ability to ease application and file system provisioning at manufacturing

Reliability

Improve robustness and reliability of the AIrPrime module in case of flash corruption.

Spy mode

When spy mode is configured on the AirPrime module, the AirPrime module will not perform mobility management procedures, including registration on a PLMN. The purpose of this mode is to avoid network congestion due to large volumes of unnecessary network registration, de-registration and location update signaling from AirPrime modules which don’t need to be reachable from the network.

Ecall only mode

The eCall only mode correspond to standard implementation of EN16062 – chapter 7.1.3 and ETSI TS 122　101.

eCall only mode is determined by USIM card configuration.

Ecall Flag

When an emergency call is initiated, the application can specify which emergency service is required by settings the eCall flag. This flag makes it possible to differentiate automatically and manually initiated eCalls for instance,
