RC76xx Firmware Release 6.2

Contains methods that can be used to install pre-built image on RC76xx modules.

RC76xx firmware is available:

  • As pre-built images ready for installation on Windows or Linux hosts. See the installation guides below.

Installing Firmware Release 6.2 (SWI9X0H_00.03.03.xx) Updates 

The following methods can be used to install pre-built images on RC76xx modules:
(Windows)
'One-click' tool
  1. Download the latest USB driver and run the executable file.
  2. Download the Firmware 'one-click' (.exe) file of the desired carrier from its link below:

    - R6.2 (Generic - GCF & PTCRB): RC7611, RC7611-1
    - R6.2 (Generic - GCF) : RC7620, RC7620-1
    - R6.2 (Sierra Wireless): RC7611, RC7611-1
    - R6.2 (Sierra Wireless): RC7620, RC7620-1
    - R6.2 (Verizon Wireless): RC7611, RC7611-1
    - R6.2 (AT&T): RC7611, RC7611-1
    - R6.2 (T-Mobile): RC7611, RC7611-1

  3. Connect the device (i.e. mangOH) to the host by USB cable.
  4. Run the firmware executable (.exe) and follow the instructions.
(Android, Linux QMI SDK)
  1. Download the Firmware (.SPK) file according to the preference of carrier configuration (Note: if the preference of carrier configuration is not listed or you are not quite sure which carrier shall be selected please select the Generic FW.

    - R6.2 (Generic - GCF) : RC7620, RC7620-1
    - R6.2 (Sierra Wireless): RC7611, RC7611-1
    - R6.2 (Sierra Wireless): RC7620, RC7620-1
    - R6.2 (Verizon Wireless): RC7611, RC7611-1
    - R6.2 (AT&T): RC7611, RC7611-1
    - R6.2 (T-Mobile): RC7611, RC7611-1

Instructions with AirVantage IoT Cloud
 1. On AirVantage, monitor the system to be updated.
2. Select More > Install Bundle.
3. Select the desired firmware bundle.
4. Start the install procedure. The operation will now be "In progress" state and visible in the System Operations widget.
