This technical note explains how a Java application can be run on an AirPrime AR/WP embedded module and how it can use Legato APIs to perform embedded module operations.

Java applications are very common and run on many applications and platforms. Java applications require that a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is available on the platform for the Java application to run. For ARM based platforms, Oracle provides an embedded Java Development Kit(EJDK) that includes a JRE. This technical note explains how a Java application can be run on an AirPrime AR/WP embedded module and how it can use Legato APIs to perform embedded module operations.
