Does an AirLink Device need a SIM card and can I get a Static IP?

This article explains when a SIM card is necessary for various AirLink devices and how a static IP can be obtained.
The following information applies to the GX, ES, LS, and RV series devices.
All AirLink devices except for the LS300 and GX400 models (EV-DO models), require SIM cards which can be procured from the appropriate network operator representative.
Note: static IP accounts for these modems are available upon request from your account representative.
